Val Chmerkovskiy Reacts To Carrie Ann Filing HR Complaint That Led To His DWTS Suspension

Val has reacted after he found out that Carrie Ann Inaba was the one who asked for him to be suspended.

According to TMZ, Carrie Ann told officials she felt upset, raised the matter with BBC Productions’ HR department and demanded action.

So this went beyond Carrie Ann finding the joke slightly unfunny. She felt concerned enough to involve HR. Because of this, I definitely think that there’s no going back for them.

Val is now missing this week’s show and will be replaced by Alan.

A source has now described his frustration, saying: “Val is incredibly annoyed that Carrie Ann felt the need to raise the situation with HR. He accepts that his joke was wrong and has already apologised, but he thinks she could have spoken to him privately rather than allowing things to escalate into a formal complaint. He feels like she’s made the situation far more serious than it needed to be”

I can understand why Val would have preferred a private conversation. But if Carrie Ann felt upset, I also understand why she’d want HR involved. His apology matters, but it doesn’t mean she had to feel comfortable handling it the way he wanted.

Before you go, I wanna know… should Carrie Ann have spoken to Val privately, or was taking it to HR the right decision?
