21 Savage has reacted after claims emerged that he and Drake are no longer on good terms.
The rumours started after Akademiks discussed Drake’s birthday party, claiming that Future and Travis Scott had turned up but weren’t allowed inside.
He then suggested that Drake and 21 Savage might not be on good terms anymore, which caught people’s attention given how close the two have been.
Drake and 21 have worked together for years, including releasing their joint album Her Loss, so I can understand why fans would be surprised if something had changed between them.
Honestly, I think it would be a shame if their friendship had ended, especially considering how successful they’ve been together.
But at the same time, I don’t think Akademiks suggesting there’s an issue is enough to assume they’ve actually fallen out.
21 has now reacted to the rumours himself.
Underneath a post discussing the claims, he commented: “People believe this stuff?”
I actually think that’s a pretty telling response. To me, it sounds like 21 doesn’t want anyone to take these rumours seriously, and I believe him. He’d have a lot to gain from a feud with Drake, so if they were on bad terms, I think he’d just say so.
