Megan from Katseye has reacted after a paparazzi called her out in the street and was mean to her.
In the footage, he gets close to Megan and repeatedly questions her as she walks away. She keeps her face covered, but he continues filming and asking why she’s hiding.
Honestly, I think her covering her face was enough of an answer. She didn’t want to be photographed at that moment, and asking her the same question again wasn’t going to make her more comfortable.
I can understand photographers wanting a picture of someone from Katseye, but getting close and pressing her to explain herself feels unnecessary. She was trying to leave, and he just didn’t respect that.
What bothers me is the expectation that she should explain why she doesn’t want her face on camera. She could be tired, having a bad day or simply not feel like it. I don’t think she needs a reason that satisfies him.
Now Megan has commented underneath a post about the encounter, writing, “so intrusive. it’s awful”.
I don’t blame her. The repeated questioning would annoy anyone more than the photograph itself, especially when she was already walking away.
Before you go, I wanna know… should photographers back off when someone clearly doesn’t want a picture?
