Alix Earle has responded after refusing to name a single Rhode product she used during her Halloween makeup video.
Alix filmed a get-ready-with-me showing her transformation into a futuristic Sorayama sculpture. She named practically every product she used, but didn’t mention the Rhode blush.
With Rhode being Hailey Bieber’s brand, people questioned whether she’d deliberately avoided giving it a mention.
Honestly, I can understand noticing the omission when she was naming everything else. But if she wanted to avoid promoting Rhode, using it on camera seems like a strange way to do that.
She was still showing people the product as part of her routine, even without saying the name. I wouldn’t take that alone as a sign she has an issue with Hailey or the brand.
Now Alix has commented underneath a post about it, writing, “I forgot to call out shade, but also figured that everyone knows what Rhode looks like”.
I think that’s a reasonable explanation. She forgot to mention the shade and assumed viewers would recognise the packaging. Given that people identified it quickly enough to question her, they clearly did.
