Many celebrities have reacted after James Acaster confessed to being a Traitor on Celebrity Traitors.
First up, Alan Carr said, “Oh James! You were supposed to lie. That’s literally the game”
Next, Katherine Ryan said, “Imagine going on a show called The Traitors and having a moral crisis because you’re a Traitor.”
Next, Claudia Winkleman said, “I’ve never seen anything quite like that. Absolutely extraordinary.”
And finally, Josh Widdicombe said, “That’s such a James Acaster to do things”.
He and Maya Jama came under suspicion over Ross Kemp’s perfume-bottle incident. Michael Sheen questioned Maya, then asked James how he knew about the bottle.
James admitted the case against him sounded convincing, but told the group, “I can promise you that I didn’t spray him.”
Then, before anyone had voted, he confessed, saying: “I was made a Traitor without wanting to be.”
He explained that he’d wanted to play as a Faithful and help catch the Traitors. Filming was paused so he could gather himself, and he eventually received every vote.
I think confessing before the vote was a shame. People were suspicious, but he hadn’t been voted out yet. He gave up whatever chance he had left.
Before you go, I wanna know… was James right to confess, or should he have kept playing?
