Drake Shades J. Cole For ‘Staging Retirement’ To Sell The Fall Off Album

Drake has reacted after J. Cole revealed that he no longer plans to retire.

Cole had previously said that The Fall-Off would be his final album, which made the release and tour feel even more significant.

Honestly, I think a lot of fans were preparing for this to be the end of his music career, especially after how long he’d been building up to the album.

But during a new interview with music executive Mark Pitts, Cole explained that his mindset has changed.

He admitted that when he was recording the album, he genuinely believed it would be his last, saying, “I was making it like it was gonna be my last one.”

But after finishing the project, he realised he didn’t want to close that door completely.

Cole then made his position clear, saying, “I’ll never say I’m gonna retire.”

I actually think that’s good news because there’s no reason he should have to stop making music just because he once planned to.

And Drake has now reacted to Cole changing his mind.

Underneath a post discussing the interview, he simply commented: “Knew it”.

To me, that’s quite funny coming from Drake, especially considering their history. And it also could be his way of teasing him for potentially staging a retirement announcement just to get hype for the album.

Before you go, I wanna know, should Cole keep making music?
