Magui = Maggie
Lando Norris has reacted after Magui faced criticism over claims that she uses him and João Félix for money.
The discussion picked up after Magui appeared to like a video mocking those accusations. It pointed out that she already comes from a wealthy background, raising questions about why people assume her relationships are about money.
I can understand why Magui’s connections to Lando and João attract attention, but being curious about someone’s dating life is very different from assuming you know their intentions without knowing what happens privately.
And whilst people can question relationships, I don’t think that automatically makes assumptions about someone’s motives fair. Magui is a person with feelings, and seeing so many people accusing her of that is obviously going to be upsetting.
Lando has now made his position clear. Underneath a post discussing the accusations, he commented, “Mean spirited for people to say this about her”.
I think that’s an important thing to say. Lando is pushing back against the way Magui is being spoken about, and it’s good that he isn’t letting everyone say so many mean things about her.
