Lando Norris has cried after his new racing team, LN4 Fusion, secured a place on the Formula 2 grid for 2027.
The project launched in September with plans to compete in Formula 3 and Formula 4, but a place in F2 still had to be approved. That’s now confirmed, and LN4 Fusion will be the only new team joining the championship for the next three-year cycle.
I think that makes this a pretty big step for Lando. He’s already competing at the top level as a driver, but this gives him a role in creating a pathway for young talent hoping to reach Formula 1.
The team is also bringing in experienced people, including former Prema boss Rene Rosin as a consultant and team principal. So this isn’t just an idea with Lando’s name attached; there are established motorsport figures involved in building it.
And Lando has shared just how much the news means to him. Underneath a post about the announcement, he wrote, “So emotional. Truly a dream.”
To me, that reaction makes the project feel personal, not just like another business move. Getting onto the F2 grid is a major milestone, but the real test will be whether LN4 Fusion can build a competitive team and help its drivers progress.
Before you go, I wanna know… could you see LN4 Fusion eventually making it all the way to Formula 1?
