Vikstarr has reacted after KSI said he never wanted the Sidemen to make sponsored videos.
KSI explained that sponsorships were a regular source of disagreement. He would push back against taking deals, while the rest of the group wanted to pursue them.
He’s now pointed to the Sidemen working with sponsors, including Google Gemini, and brought those old arguments back into the conversation.
Honestly, I can understand wanting viewers to enjoy a video without an advert interrupting it. If you feel a sponsorship doesn’t fit the content, it makes sense to question whether it’s worth taking.
But I can see the others’ side too. Bigger videos cost money, and a sponsor can help pay for something they couldn’t otherwise justify making.
For me, it comes down to how the deal is handled. A sponsorship that fits naturally into a video is very different from a long segment that makes you reach for the skip button.
Now Vikstarr has replied underneath a post about KSI’s comments, writing, “Sure mate”.
To me, that sounds like he isn’t buying KSI’s version of the disagreement, and it seems like he’s saying that KSI is making this up for attention.
Before you go, I wanna know… was KSI right to oppose sponsorships, or were the others right to take the deals?
