Wonyoung has broken her silence after trying to move Bulgari’s CEO on the red carpet so Kim Ji-won could stand in the centre.
Wonyoung attended the event in Seoul alongside Kim Ji-won. A clip appeared to show her encouraging Ji-won into the middle before staff stopped the switch.
People are calling her mean and also saying she’s an attention seeker for this. Honestly, I think this just sounds like an awkward mistake.
I can understand keeping the CEO in the centre, but suggesting a different arrangement doesn’t automatically make her rude.
And it seems like Wonyoung is not okay with the backlash. One source said: “Wonyoung is quite embarrassed by the situation. She was only trying to help Jiwon get a better position for the photographs and hadn’t realised who was standing there. She feels awkward knowing the moment has attracted so much attention, especially because she never intended to cause any problems”
To me, that explanation makes sense. I can imagine her feeling embarrassed once she realised she’d tried to move the head of the brand.
But I think people are being harsh by treating it like deliberate disrespect. She could have misunderstood who was standing where while trying to do something nice for Ji-won.
