Motsi Mabuse has responded to the talk that she and Shirley Ballas will leave Strictly Come Dancing after this series.
Strictly could be facing another change, with The Sun saying Craig and Anton have made it clear they plan to return for 2027. They’ve even pencilled next year’s live shows into their diaries.
Motsi and Shirley, though, haven’t made up their minds. Shirley has also been booked as a guest judge on Dancing With The Stars in America, so I can understand why she might want to see how that goes before deciding what comes next.
Losing either of them would be a noticeable change after years on the panel. But there’s still no confirmation that either is actually leaving.
Motsi has now weighed in underneath a post about the possible departures, asking, “Where did you hear this?”
To me, she’s questioning where the story came from rather than confirming she’s leaving. But her comment doesn’t tell us whether the reports are wrong, either.
I think the real question is whether Strictly’s judging panel will look different next year, or whether things will stay as they are.
Before you go, I wanna know… should Motsi and Shirley stay on Strictly, or is it time for a new judging panel?
