Marilyn Manson has responded after a famous figure called for him to be removed from Slipknot’s 2027 Wembley show.
Anton Georgiou wants the booking reviewed, questioning why Marilyn was chosen despite the allegations made against him.
In a video outside Wembley, Anton said he was “shocked” by the decision and argued it went against women. He also questioned what consideration had been given to them before the booking.
I can see why this has become a talking point. All of the things that people claimed Marilyn did to them are really bad, so obviously so many people are going to judge Slipknot for platforming him.
One official stressed that the venue and event organisers are responsible for bookings, and said that Marilyn should’ve never been booked too. Wembley has also confirmed it has started talks with the promoter about Marilyn’s inclusion.
Marilyn has now weighed in himself. Underneath a post about the controversy, he simply commented, “It’s going ahead”.
It seems like Marilyn doesn’t care about backlash and only cares about putting on a big performance for the fans.
Before you go, I wanna know… should Slipknot keep Marilyn on the lineup, or remove him from the show?
