Many stars have reacted after Noah Wyle was named People’s Best Man Alive for 2026.
First up, Jennifer Aniston said, “Noah, you’re an incredible actor”.
Next, John Stamos said, “Noah Wyle? Seriously? I thought this was my year”
Next, Reese Witherspoon said, “Okay, Noah! We see you!”
Next, Sarah Michelle Gellar said, “Honestly, this is such a good choice. He’s only getting better with age”
And finally, Kate Walsh said, “The ER boys are still winning!”
His family have had their own reactions too. Noah said his son joked that the title would make his life harder, while his older daughter said she’s convinced she’ll tease him about it for the next 50 years.
His success with The Pitt has made this a big moment too, after he won two Best Actor Emmy awards in a row.
When Noah explained how surprised he was, he said, “I thought that sounded like a prank. I never thought in a million years that this would be an honour bestowed on me.”
I do see that he’s being met with backlash, though, and I see people are criticising him for winning. A lot of the criticism I see is from people saying that women on the same level as him are not praised like this.
