Ariana Grande has reacted after her Swarovski window display in Paris appeared to remain intact during the protests.
A video showed damage to the shop’s windows, while the display featuring Ariana seemed to have been left alone. With her campaign image still sitting there surrounded by the damage, the contrast was so blatant that it’s easy to see why the clip caught people’s attention.
I can understand why it became a joke in the first place. The display almost looked as though Ariana had somehow been given a free pass while the rest of the storefront was affected. It’s such a random thing to notice, but once you see the contrast, it’s difficult not to find the whole situation funny.
Of course, we don’t know why that particular window remained untouched, so I wouldn’t read too much into it. Still, the fact that her image was left standing out against the damaged storefront made the clip memorable, even without knowing exactly what happened.
And now Ariana has joined in on the joke herself. Underneath a post about the display, she commented saying, “stop”.
I love that reaction because she seems to be playing along with the joke, and it’s just something that you’d never expect her to get involved in.
Before you go, I wanna know… when do you think these protests will end?
