Jason Statham has called out Kelly Brook after she discussed their relationship on Loose Women, 22 years after they split.
They were together for seven years and got engaged before separating in 2004. Asked whether Jason was tough or a softie, Kelly said he had a softer side when they met.
But as his career took off, she felt he started wanting the big house, the car and the supermodel girlfriend. She called it a cliché because she’d thought he was more interested in the arts.
Kelly said, “He became his character, and that’s where it all went wrong. Maybe that’s what happened.”
She’s previously said she felt neglected when his career took him to America and eventually fell out of love.
Honestly, I can understand her answering a question about someone she spent seven years with. It’s part of her life too, even if they’ve both moved on.
But suggesting success changed his personality is quite personal, so I can also see why Jason wouldn’t enjoy hearing it discussed again.
He commented underneath a post about her remarks, writing, “It’s been so many years. Come on..”
To me, he sounds tired of their relationship coming up. I don’t think Kelly has to pretend it never happened, but I’d find that frustrating too after 22 years.
