Malia Baker has reacted after Kylie Cantrall publicly called her a former best friend.
I see that everyone has spent weeks analysing awkward interviews, eye rolls and the way they discuss their Descendants characters.
Some thought the fallout could be for publicity, but I think this sounded far more personal than anything Kylie has said before.
Kylie made the comment while discussing the Descendants tour and performing “Space Between” with Malia every night.
She said singing the ballad with her “former best friend” was the highlight of the tour and something she would always cherish.
Honestly, I think that wording says a lot. Kylie spoke warmly about the performance, but calling Malia a former friend made it clear she believes their friendship is already over.
What stood out to me is that Kylie still called it her favourite moment. That sounds like she values what they had, even if she no longer sees Malia as a friend.
Now Malia has responded underneath a post about Kylie’s interview, saying, “Lol”.
To me, that was obviously shady. I actually think that one word will make people analyse their fallout even more.
