Justin Bieber has reacted after BTS announced they will not submit their music for the 2027 Grammys.
I saw that the decision came after the Grammys introduced Best Asian Pop Music Performance, a category requiring meaningful use of an Asian language.
All seven members shared the same message on their stories, saying, “We’ve decided not to submit our work for this year’s Grammy Awards. We hope music will be recognised and loved for what it is, rather than being divided by region or language.”
Honestly, I think that changes everything. Most artists complain after losing or being overlooked, but BTS are stepping away before voting even begins.
To me, they are questioning whether Asian artists are being properly recognised or placed into a separate box.
I actually think the category was made just so they can get ratings from K-pop artists attending, without having to give them the main awards.
Now Justin has responded underneath a post about their decision, saying, “Won’t be the same without you guys”.
To me, his comment proves BTS’s absence will be noticed beyond their fanbase.
