Alan Bersten has responded after Gleb mocked his dancing during a livestream.
Gleb made the comments while watching Monday’s Disney on Broadway Night with fellow former pro Artem. While discussing Connor Wood’s technique, Gleb compared Connor’s hand position with that of one of the current pros.
He said: “At least his hand is closed. Some of our pros, dancing like this”. Artem asked if he wanted to name the person, and Gleb replied: “Starts with A.”
Fans quickly worked out he meant Alan, with many defending him and some accusing Gleb of being bitter. I can see why, especially as Gleb had already questioned why Alan was chosen to step in for Val during his one-week suspension.
But Alan wasn’t the only one criticised. Gleb also said Yan’s Contemporary routine with Tatyana “wasn’t impressive”, despite Jan being known as the “King of Contemporary”.
Now Alan has made his feelings clear. Underneath a post about Gleb’s comments, he simply wrote, “Don’t care”.
I actually think that reply is pretty good, as it means that Alan doesn’t feel the need to defend his dancing or give Gleb’s remarks any attention.
Before you go, I wanna know… is Gleb offering fair criticism, or does he seem to have a personal issue with Alan?
