Tom Hardy has called out Idris Elba for saying James Bond should not be black, and it seems a lot of people agree.

This happened after Idris shared his thoughts on the future of the Bond films. I

Idris said that the character needs to remain realistic and that some audiences would not welcome a Black actor. He said, “Bond is so unrealistic, so a hint of reality is good, but let’s not try to make it woke.”

Idris was a top choice to replace Daniel Craig after his run ended. A lot of us thought he’d make a great Bond and would bring something new to the table. But unfortunately, not everyone feels that way, and I doubt it’ll happen now.

Idris said, “James Bond was written how he was written for a reason.” He also said that some markets around the world will not go for someone like me playing the character.

Now, Tom Hardy decided to step in and leave a comment under a post about it. He said, “Would love it to be open to everybody.”

I think this shows he thinks that everyone should be able to go for the role, and it seems he thinks Idris is wrong for saying that the casting directors shouldn’t include everybody.

Before you go, I wanna know, who do you think is the right choice for the role?
