Mark Ballas has reacted after Maura Higgins looked like she was done with Dancing With the Stars.
The speculation started after a recent episode, when Maura appeared noticeably flat while waiting for the final results. While the other contestants looked anxious and emotional, Maura seemed completely drained, with little excitement and a forced smile when it was announced she was through to the next round.
That moment immediately got people talking about whether she’d lost her passion for the competition or was simply finding the pressure too much.
Personally, I can understand why she might look exhausted. The competition is demanding, and it’s a lot to take on as the weeks go on. But she could also simply be having an off night, which happens to everyone.
It’s easy to forget how intense Dancing With the Stars can be. There are long rehearsals, tough feedback from the judges and the constant worry of being sent home.
Now Mark Ballas has made his feelings clear. Underneath a post about the speculation, he commented, “This is such a reach”.
I agree with him; I did think she looked exhausted, but I don’t think she’s done with the show.
