Manon has reacted after Katseye’s Detroit concert was cancelled at the last minute because Megan is unwell.
The group was due to perform at Little Caesars Arena, but fans were left disappointed when the news came through that the show would not go ahead.
Katseye apologised on their Instagram story, explaining that Megan was unwell and needed time to rest and recover. They also acknowledged that fans had travelled and made plans to see them.
The clips from outside the arena are upsetting. There are young fans crying, with children being comforted by their parents after finding out they wouldn’t get to see the group. I can understand why, especially if they’d travelled a long way or waited months for this concert.
At the same time, Megan’s health has to come first. If she’s not well enough to perform, postponing is the right call, even though it’s heartbreaking for fans who were there.
Manon has now shown her support too. Underneath a post about the cancellation, she commented, “sending so much love”.
I think that’s a nice way to acknowledge how disappointing this must be, especially for those younger fans.
