LeBron James has reacted after Savannah James said his move to Philly has made their family life hard.
Savannah explained that they now have to balance life between Los Angeles, New York and Philadelphia, while their son is based in Tucson, Arizona. She described organising everyone’s schedules as a full-time job.
LeBron previously said their daughter Zhuri had a voice in his decision to join the 76ers, but Savannah revealed she wants to stay close to her friends, school and volleyball team rather than spend long periods away.
When they discussed going to school in New York or Philadelphia, Zhuri made it clear she still wanted to play with her teammates. I can understand that. LeBron’s career means big changes, but Zhuri has her own life to think about too.
Savannah also spoke about turning 40 and feeling more comfortable with herself as she enters this next chapter. Despite all the adjustments, she sounds calmer about making it work.
LeBron then added his own message underneath a post about the conversation, writing, “We’re the best team”.
I actually think that says a lot. They may not all be in the same place, but they’re still trying to make the family work as a team.
