Maura Higgins has said that she’s not liked by certain cast members on the set of Dancing With the Stars.
She shared a rehearsal selfie looking exhausted and appearing to wipe away tears, writing, “Struggling so much this week”.
It comes after her Paso Doble with Mark Ballas received plenty of praise. Maura said she burst into tears backstage because the performance meant so much to her.
Honestly, I think that makes this update sad to see. She’s had a performance she was proud of, but that doesn’t mean she’s enjoying every part of being on the show.
Learning a new routine each week already sounds exhausting. If you’re also worrying about whether the people around you like you, I can imagine it becoming difficult to relax even during a break.
Now Maura has shared more underneath a post about her difficult week, commenting, “I also sometimes feel like I’m not liked by some people here”.
I do feel for her. That’s quite a vulnerable thing to say publicly, especially when she’s already upset.
She hasn’t named anyone or explained what made her feel that way, so I wouldn’t start pointing fingers. But I hope she has someone there she can talk to, because she sounds like she could use some support.
