Ethan Klein has responded after Trisha Paytas said his actions during their fallout contributed to her crisis in 2021.
Speaking on Jay Shetty’s podcast, Trisha said she privately begged for the discussion about her to stop, but was told it wouldn’t.
She also recalled Ethan questioning her account of horrible behaviour by a former teacher. In an old podcast clip, Ethan said, “justice for Mr Riney,” while disputing her claim that the teacher had been taken into custody.
Trisha said a former classmate came forward to support her account, but people accused that person of being Trisha herself.
Honestly, that sounds exhausting. Feeling like even someone backing you up is being dismissed would make it difficult to see how you could ever answer everyone’s questions.
What bothers me most is Trisha saying she asked privately for it to stop. They’d once been friends, and I can understand why she expected him to take that seriously.
Now Ethan has commented underneath a post about the discussion, writing, “Saying anything for views”.
To me, that’s a dismissive response to someone describing such a difficult time, and I think he shouldn’t have gotten involved again.
