Mitch has responded after people claimed he went with someone else following his split from Hayley Griffin.
They got together in summer 2024 and bought a house together, so this wasn’t just a short romance. They’d started building a life together.
A source said they’re both sad it didn’t work out, adding, “There is so much love there, but sometimes things aren’t meant to be.”
Hayley then posted a picture captioned, “A happy girl who knows her worth.”
Honestly, I can understand why that got people talking. Posting about knowing your worth around a breakup can sound like you’re making a point about what you were willing to accept.
But I don’t think that’s enough to start saying Mitch went with someone else. Her caption doesn’t say that, and a relationship ending doesn’t automatically mean another person was involved.
I also think his Messy Mitch reputation from Love Island probably makes people quicker to assume there’s drama.
Now Mitch has replied underneath a post about the breakup, writing, “Why are people saying I went with someone else? Not what happened”.
To me, he’s clearly frustrated that people have turned the split into a story he says isn’t true.
