Many celebs have reacted after Samie Elishi announced she’s expecting her first baby with Tyrique Hyde.
First up, Ella Thomas said, “Omg congratulations to you both”
Next, Whitney Adebayo said, “So happy for you guys!”
Next, Jess Harding said, “Stoppp, this is the cutest news ever”
And finally, Olivia Hawkins said, “Oh my god!!! Congratulations, beautiful”
They shared the news on Instagram with a video of Samie having an ultrasound. Tyrique was beside her, smiling as they shared the moment.
It’s been a big year for Samie. She won All Stars with Ciaran in February 2026, but by April, she and Tyrique had made their relationship official after knowing each other for around six years.
I think that history matters here. Although they’ve only been public as a couple for a few months, they’ve known each other for years. Still, going from making their relationship official to preparing for a baby is a huge step.
They haven’t shared their due date yet, but their announcement has already attracted plenty of congratulations.
I think this is great news for them, especially because they’ve both said they’re happier than ever. At the same time, I can understand why people might be surprised by the timing, given how recently they went public.
