Victoria Beckham has reacted to Katherine Ryan’s horrible joke that she made about her.
The joke was made on “Have I Got News For You” last November, during a discussion about an email in which David Beckham allegedly used a bad word. Katherine then made a joke connecting that same word to Victoria.
What stood out to me was the BBC’s response. It said using the word while discussing David’s alleged email had justification, but using it about Victoria didn’t. The joke has now also been removed from the iPlayer version.
Katherine later addressed the decision and explained that she was working while caring for a 10-day-old kid at the time, and exhaustion muddled her thoughts.
She also pointed out that the audience gasped at the joke and that she immediately made it clear she liked Victoria.
Honestly, I can understand Katherine wanting to explain the context, but that doesn’t necessarily change how Victoria would’ve felt hearing herself described that way.
And Victoria has now made her feelings very clear. Underneath a post about the story, she wrote: “Disgraceful. Truly.”
I actually think the fact that she kept it that short says a lot. She’s obviously annoyed, but doesn’t want to give Katherine a lot of attention.
