Matt Willis has spoken out about Emma Willis and Robbie Williams having a romantic rendezvous.
I saw that the story dates back to 2005, when Emma and Robbie are said to have crossed paths in Lisbon while they were both early in their careers.
A source said: “Robbie thought she was incredible. Emma seemed to love it, too.”
Honestly, I can see why the story has got attention again with Emma recently making her debut as a Strictly Come Dancing presenter, but we’re still talking about something said to have happened more than 20 years ago.
Emma started dating Matt later that same year, and they married in 2008. They now have three children together. Robbie also moved on and later married Ayda Field.
That’s why I think the timing of this resurfacing is probably more interesting than the story itself. Even if the old claims are accurate, this would’ve happened before Emma and Matt became a couple.
And Matt clearly noticed the story being brought back up. Underneath a post about it, he wrote: “Why even post this?”
I actually think his response says a lot. Matt doesn’t seem interested in discussing whether the old story is true. Instead, he’s questioning why something from before their relationship needs to become a talking point again now.
