Allen Iverson has called out Stefon Diggs for dressing up as him for Halloween.
Stefon wore the classic blue Sixers number three jersey, with the red headband and blue bandana that made Allen’s look so recognisable. It was clear who he was paying tribute to.
And I can see why this caught people’s attention. Stefon chose one of Allen’s most iconic looks from his time in Philadelphia, rather than just throwing on a random uniform.
Stefon got the main details right. Looking at the comparison, you can tell who he was trying to recreate, even if the resemblance itself is another question.
Allen has now seen the outfit, and his reaction was not quite the seal of approval Stefon might have expected.
Underneath a post comparing the two looks, Allen commented, “I couldn’t even tell that he’s dressed as me”.
That’s a funny review of a costume that was clearly meant as a tribute. Stefon may have put effort into this, but Allen clearly wasn’t convinced by the result.
Personally, I think his costume was pretty good, but I do think that it could’ve been a bit more accurate.
