James Argent has reacted after his ex Lydia Bright sparked rumours that she’s secretly married her boyfriend.
Lydia recently revealed they’ve been together for a year, explaining that she wanted to keep things private while their relationship grew. She also wanted her daughter Loretta to get to know him before making it public.
Their first date lasted five hours, and after their second, Lydia texted her mum saying, “I have met my husband.”
Honestly, she sounds pretty certain about him. Saying that after two dates is bold, but I like that she still waited a year before sharing the relationship publicly.
The wedding speculation started after her mum Debbie commented about him being Italian. Lydia replied, “Her prayers were answered, and she finally got an Italian son-in-law.”
I can understand why people think they might have married. Calling him a son-in-law is quite specific, although she could simply be joking with her mum. She hasn’t confirmed a wedding.
Now Arg, who dated Lydia on and off for eight years before their split in 2016, has commented underneath her post, writing, “Happy for you Lyd”.
I actually think that’s nice. They have a long history, but he seems happy to support her finding someone new.
