Kelly Piquet has responded after her mother publicly criticised Alexandra Leclerc’s outfit, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting Kelly to get involved.
Alexandra has been getting plenty of attention in the Formula 1 paddock while supporting Charles, with many people praising her recent outfits. But things took an awkward turn after a clip of Alexandra walking into the paddock started circulating online.
Kelly’s mother, Sylvia Tamsma, commented underneath the video, saying, “In the 80’s we didn’t have a fashion show in the paddock.”
Honestly, I can understand why that comment got people talking. To me, it felt like an unnecessary criticism over what someone chose to wear, especially when so many fans thought Alexandra looked great.
Now Kelly has responded herself.
She commented underneath a post about her mother’s remarks, saying, “This is so embarrassing for me”.
To me, that reply says a lot. I actually respect that Kelly didn’t ignore it or defend the comment just because it came from her own mother. Instead, she made it clear she was embarrassed by it, which probably wasn’t easy to do publicly.
