Anthony Starr has reacted to Eric Kripke’s message about disappointing fans with the Boys finale, and it’s pretty shady.
I’m still not happy with the conclusion to the show, and I’ve been waiting every day to hear more about it.
I feel like I really wasted my time watching the show because it was just so bad.
Eric noticed the negative talk online and decided to address it directly. He said, “Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, of course, and I’m sorry if I disappointed you, but it was the story I wanted to tell.”
He also mentioned that the online crowd is just a tiny fraction of their 60 million viewers, so he is not letting the backlash get to him.
To me, it feels like he is trying to brush off valid critiques by brushing them off as just a vocal minority.
Now, Antony has publicly chimed in on Eric’s message. Under a social media post sharing the message, he simply wrote, “Understood”.
Honestly, that one-word reply feels incredibly cold. Rumours have been circulating for a while that Antony was frustrated with the direction of the script, so it looks like he’s saying he understands that Eric doesn’t care about what anyone else thinks.
It definitely gives the vibe that he is just clocking out and moving on from the project without looking back.
