The truth about what really happened with P.Louise and Boots has been revealed.
At 6:30AM last Friday, long before most young people had even thought about getting out of bed, lines were already forming outside Boots stores across the UK.
Some of the young women had travelled miles, while others had dragged their parents from their beds before sunrise.
All of them were there for one reason: because Paige had told them to be. Days earlier, Paige had appeared in a promotional video on her social media channels ahead of her makeup brand’s launch in Boots stores, promising shoppers a big reward.
Holding a gift box full of her products, Paige said, “This is what you get if you’re the first 200 to shop P.Louise in any Boots store. The first 200 people to spend over £20 get this.”
It was not a small free gift, as each box contained more than 100 pounds’ worth of makeup and other items. This included lip oils, mascara, brow balm, hand cream, and branded cups.
But when the tills started ringing, and the bags were filled, customers up and down the country discovered the giveaway they had spent hours waiting for simply did not exist.
Staff in the stores apparently knew nothing about it. Now, shoppers are furious after claiming they spent money specifically because they believed they would get the free gift.
