Stacey Solomon never wants to go to the Baftas again, and, after what happened, I’m not surprised.
It seems Stacey is completely finished with the awards ceremony after how things went down last time. One source said, “She’s told all of her close ones that she’s never going again. She’s tired of all the bad press, and she’s tired of everyone criticizing everything she does.”
Instead of getting dressed up for the red carpet, Stacey decided to skip the event entirely to spend time in Miami with her family. This shows she’s prioritising her own wellbeing over industry events that just cause her stress.
Last year, people were really mean to her online after she showed how she really felt about losing. Some called her a sore loser just because she was honest about being upset that her show didn’t win.
In a video she posted from her garden, Stacey said, “I know I’m supposed to take it gracefully like a champ, but I’ll be honest, I’m devastated.”
She was really standing up for her team, but the backlash was clearly a lot to handle. It’s totally understandable why she’d want to avoid that energy this year.
She’s not the only one missing out, though, as Rochelle Humes and Olivia Attwood are also enjoying the sun instead of being at the ceremony.
