The Concert Industry Is Falling Apart & Everyone Is Too Greedy To Do Anything About It

The concert industry is falling apart, and everyone is too greedy to do anything about it.

There is a hard lesson for artists right now: not everyone can price tickets like Taylor Swift. While she can sell out stadiums at very high prices, she sits in a category of her own with massive demand. The problem is that too many other tours are being booked and priced as if that same demand exists everywhere else, but it simply doesn’t.

Fans are noticing the high costs, and more importantly, they are not buying. This has led to tours falling apart across the industry. For example, The Pussycat Dolls recently announced the heartbreaking decision to cancel almost all of their North American reunion tour dates after taking an honest look at the run.

This is the 4th cancelled tour we’ve seen in just one week, which started off when Post Malone cancelled a few dates after less than half of his stadium tickets were sold. Artists and their teams are seriously overestimating how much fans are willing to pay in this economy.

While some big names can still get away with high prices, the rest of the industry is struggling to keep seats filled. It seems the bubble might finally be bursting as people choose to save their money instead of spending hundreds on a single show.

Before you go, I wanna know, are ticket prices out of control these days?
