Mason Thames has reacted after McKenna Grace explained why she’s happy being so public about their relationship.
McKenna said she’s found someone she can be herself around and doesn’t want the possibility of a breakup to stop her enjoying it.
She said, “I have somebody I can be a complete nerd with. I got my best friend, and so I don’t see the point in not loving loudly.”
Honestly, I think that’s nice. If you’re happy with someone and want to share that, worrying about whether you’ll feel embarrassed later could take the fun out of it.
McKenna joked about that herself, saying, “People think that you break up, that it’s embarrassing. But why would I even think about that?”
She added, “I’m just going to focus on the present.”
I like that she’s acknowledged the risk without letting it decide how she acts. A relationship ending wouldn’t mean she was wrong to enjoy it or speak positively about him while they were together.
Now Mason has commented underneath a post about the interview, writing, “why i love her”.
I think that’s a really sweet reply. She’s described him as her best friend, and he’s showing he appreciates how openly she talks about them.
