Manon has spoken out after Daniela and Megan missed Katseye’s VIP fan events.
Both performed at the Boston concert on October 28 but missed the VIP photo session, soundcheck and Q&A. Their label said they were resting and receiving care.
Some fans were upset because they’d paid to meet all six members. With Sophia and Manon already on hiatus, Daniela and Megan’s absence meant even fewer members were available.
Honestly, I can understand being disappointed if you’ve spent a lot of money expecting to meet your favourite member. For some fans, that’s the whole reason they bought VIP.
But I don’t think Daniela and Megan performing the concert means they were well enough to do everything else. Getting through a show while ill is already a lot to ask.
Now Manon has commented underneath a post about the situation, writing, “we need to respect their wellbeing”.
I agree with her, but I don’t think respecting their health means fans can’t ask about refunds. That’s something the organisers should answer, rather than leaving the members to deal with complaints while they’re unwell.
Fans can want what they paid for without expecting Daniela and Megan to ignore how they feel.
