Dalton has reacted after Sako covered up the matching tattoo she got with him when they were together.
Honestly, I don’t blame her for wanting to change it. Getting a matching tattoo might feel like a good idea when you’re happy together, but once you’ve split, you’re left deciding whether you still want it.
That doesn’t mean the relationship meant nothing or that she regrets being with him. She might just prefer to have something else there now, and I think that’s fair.
I can also understand why seeing it covered could feel strange for Dalton. They chose it together, so even if you’ve accepted the breakup, seeing the design changed might still get to you.
Now Dalton has commented underneath a post about the cover-up, writing, “That’s just life”.
I actually like his response. To me, he sounds like he accepts that she’s moved on and doesn’t see the point in making her feel bad about it.
He could have taken it personally, but I don’t think covering up a tattoo needs to become a big thing. It’s on her, so she gets to decide whether she keeps it.
