Donald has responded after Iron Maiden’s former drummer Nicko McBrain said he and his associates should be locked up.
Nicko revealed that he turned down an invitation to play golf with Donald after a friend offered to arrange a meeting between them.
He made it clear he had no interest in going, explaining that he strongly disagrees with Donald’s behaviour and what he stands for.
What stood out to me is that Nicko admitted he doesn’t usually take much interest in Polly, yet he still felt strongly enough to speak publicly about Donald.
I think there’s something understandable about refusing to socialise with someone whose values you disagree with. An invitation like that might appeal to other people, but Nicko clearly didn’t see it as a reason to put his feelings aside.
At the same time, saying Donald and his associates is a very surprising thing to say, and I think it’s going to get him a lot of backlash.
Now Donald has responded underneath a post discussing Nicko’s remarks, simply writing, “Made up”.
To me, that sounds dismissive, but, at the same time, it feels like he’s done with people talking about him publicly.
Before you go, I wanna know… was Nicko wrong to speak out about Donald, or was he entitled to say how he felt?
