Kanye West has reacted after North West dressed as Natalie Nunn for Halloween.
North wore a black outfit with black hair and finished the look with the chain closely associated with Natalie. It was a distinctive choice that quickly caught people’s attention and became one of North’s most viral moments.
What makes this stand out to me is that North didn’t go for a usual Halloween costume. She picked Natalie, whose bold personality and role in Baddies have made her look instantly recognisable. Some people love the costume, while others are surprised she chose Natalie.
And North clearly committed to the look because she looked exactly like her. It didn’t look like a costume that just took an hour; it seemed like a lot of hours went into it.
But Kanye’s reaction is what really caught my attention. Underneath a post about the costume, he commented, “Nobody can compete”.
He’s backing his daughter and making it clear that, in his eyes, nobody could do Halloween better than North.
I’m still surprised she did it, though, because Natalie isn’t the first person you’d expect North to dress as for Halloween, which is exactly why the costume stands out.
