Richie Myler has said he is not happy with Helen Skelton speaking out about their split.
Helen has opened up about how hard it was to go through a public breakup and hear gossip about it even while shopping.
She left Richie in 2022 after nine years of marriage and just months after they had their third kid.
She spoke of how she was determined to get up and get on with it because she didn’t like the patronising looks she would get from strangers.
Helen said, “It felt humiliating to me because of where I’m from. I didn’t enjoy walking down the street and people knowing stuff about my past.”
Her dad, Richard, would even hear gossip about her love life at his golf club.
Helen joined Strictly Come Dancing that year to keep her mind busy. She said, “I wanted to have my own narrative. I was sick of the patronising looks.”
She also cleared up rumours from mid-2025 suggesting she was dating her coworker Gethin Jones. She made it clear they are just friends.
But now Richie has reacted to her opening up. One source said, “Richie is a private guy, so he really doesn’t like Helen being so public about their relationship. He thinks she should’ve stayed quiet. Richie thinks it’s far classier to not run to the press.”
