Dustin Poirier is losing major sponsors after his recent arrest, and things keep getting worse for him.
Dustin was arrested at Atlanta Airport after being removed from a flight for bad behaviour. Bodycam footage later showed him arguing with airport staff and officers before he was taken into custody.
That made things even worse because the footage quickly surfaced online, leading to questions about how it could affect his reputation outside of his UFC career.
Now, one source has claimed, “He’s losing major sponsors over this. People will not want to work with him after he behaved this badly. Brands these days are looking for people as family-friendly as possible, and he is definitely not that.”
Dustin has since addressed the situation himself, writing, “I’m at the point where I need some help,” while admitting retirement has been difficult and saying drinking “isn’t the answer.”
Personally, I think Dustin does genuinely seem remorseful. If he genuinely gets the help he says he needs, many people may be willing to give him another chance, but incidents like this can still make brands think twice.
