Tony Laites has reacted to George Knight’s response to her making fun of his appearance.
You might remember that Toni received a lot of backlash when she referred to George as a jump scare on the official Love Island podcast. But now George has responded.
At the time, it caused a huge discussion about whether the comment was funny or just way too mean.
In an interview after he left Love Island, George was asked what his response was to Toni’s comment. He said, “I think it’s a bit of an awkward one. Then I came out, and I was like, “What is going on here?”
He said that if the roles had been reversed and a guy had said that about a girl, he thinks it would have gone viral and been even more of a big deal.
After that, he said, “I don’t know what I’d say to Toni, but everyone is striving to be relevant, and that’s the thing.”
He then praised Shakira for calling Toni out on the podcast and having his back.
George said that he has been experiencing a ton of trolling about his looks. He said that he knows he has a bit of a peculiar look and that the sun really wasn’t doing him any favours.
Now Toni stepped in and left a comment under a post that said, “Fair play.”
It looks like she sees his point of view and realises what she said was wrong.
