Callum Wilson has reacted to the disallowed goal during the match between West Ham and Arsenal.
West Ham were denied a goal at the very end of the game when the VAR stepped in. Arsenal ended up keeping their 1 nill win, which helps them get closer to the league title.
Callum looked like he had earned a point for West Ham after he put the ball in the net during a scramble after a corner. The ball was blocked past the line by Declan Rice, and it clearly went in, so Chris Kavanagh awarded the goal.
After looking at the angles for a long time, the official asked Chris to look at the screen. Following a discussion among the officials, the goal was removed. The ref said, “After review, West Ham number 19 commits a foul on the goalkeeper. Final decision.”
So it clearly wasn’t a good game for Callum. And now he’s decided to share how he feels with a comment on a post about it. The comment said, “Madness.”
This comment obviously shows he is frustrated with the decision. Most of us agree that it’s crazy that his big moment was taken away like this.
Decisions like this are always going to cause a lot of talk, especially when they happen in the final minutes like this.
