The Coronation Street cast were all about to quit, but luckily, the bosses intervened in an unusual way.
The people in charge of the show have finally loosened a very tight rule to keep the cast from being angry and quitting.
For a long time, the actors were not allowed to promote or sell products on social media for money. The show had a total ban on letting anyone seek extra income through paid partnerships or advertising.
But recently, bosses have begun to allow some paid deals, but only if they agree to them first. However, many of these requests were still being denied, and tensions were rising behind the scenes. The cast finally insisted that enough was enough and said that paid ads should be blocked only if there is a very good reason.
Personally, I felt like it was only a matter of time before this happened because everyone else on social media is making extra money these days. This clearly shows that the bosses are really worried about losing their biggest names.
With the cost of things going up, the actors wanted to make sure they could take care of themselves, just like any other influencer.
