Michael Jackson Is Now 60% Of The Top 10 Charts… But I’m Angry About it

Michael Jackson is now 60% of the whole top 10 this week, and all for a very surprising reason.

His music is on the rise across the UK, and he is performing really well on the official hip-hop and R&B singles charts.

It is incredible to see that more than a decade after his passing, Michael is responsible for six of the ten biggest songs in those genres. His highest-ranking song at the moment is Dirty Diana, which jumped all the way from number 21 to number 4. Human Nature also made a big return to the list at number 5 this week.

Personally, I think it shows just how timeless his music really is, even for younger audiences.

Michael finishes off the top of the chart by holding every spot from number 7 through to number 10. With songs like “Smooth Criminal” and “The Way You Make Me Feel”, along with “Rock With You” and “Man In The Mirror.”

It is a little strange for me to see because I always perceive Michael’s music as pop music, so I don’t know why the UK charts have listed it as rap or hip hop.

Although this is a huge win for him and his legacy, I think it probably would’ve been more appropriate if the music had been charting in the correct charts instead.

Before you go, I wanna know, are you listening to his music more these days because of the movie?
