Celebrities Call Out Matthew Perry’s New Netflix Documentary Because Of This

Many celebrities have reacted to Matthew Perry’s new Netflix documentary.

First up, Selma Blair said, “Matthew deserved to be remembered for his talent and humour, not just the hardest parts of his life”

Next, Alyssa Milano said, “It’s possible to tell someone’s story honestly without making their struggle the entire story.”

Next, Busy Philipps said, “I really hope people remember how unbelievably funny Matthew was. That matters too.”

And finally, Valerie Bertinelli said, “He brought so much laughter into people’s homes. I hope that’s what people remember most”

Matthew Perry’s new Netflix documentary is facing criticism for turning his struggles into its main focus.

The three-part series looks back at his life and career through interviews with people who knew him, alongside footage from a 2009 interview with Matthew himself.

The first episode focuses on his early acting career, friendships and rise to fame, including how he landed the role of Chandler Bing in Friends. His friends also share personal memories and inside jokes from their younger years.

But the tone changes when the documentary explores his reliance on subs.

What stood out to me is how quickly that shift happens. The episode moves through his childhood and early experiences before making his personal struggles the main focus- and people think that the documentary is ruining his memory.

Before you go, I wanna know… should they delete this documentary?
