Many celebrities have reacted to Latto announcing her retirement.
First up, Rihanna said: “album promo game is on point”.
Next, Cardi B said: “Is this actually true?”
And finally, Katy Perry said: “I’ll miss you forever if you leave us”.
Latto might be walking away from her career at only 27 years old. She shared a post saying her next project, Big Mama, will be her retirement album and thanked everyone for everything.
Personally, I feel like this is a massive surprise since she is currently doing so well in the industry. Her last album in 2024 got great reviews, and she just released new songs with people like GloRilla.
Some people think she is making this choice because she is currently expecting her first kid with 21 Savage. She recently showed off her bump at a concert in Atlanta and even had a cheetah-themed shower with her friends, like Angel Reese.
It’s not that rare for people in music to say they are retiring and then come back later. For example, Jay Z said he was finished in 2003, but he put out another album just three years after that.
Right now, the big day for her final project is May 29th. We’re all waiting to see if this is truly the end or if Latto will eventually decide to make a return.
