Tess Daly has said what she really thinks about Emma Willis replacing her as the Strictly host.
The news is finally out that Emma Willis has agreed to join the show after months of rumours. The BBC will announce it very soon, but we already know she nailed her tests and the bosses absolutely adore her.
She’s the perfect choice because she always feels so natural. People are calling her a safe pair of hands because she’s already so well known and loved by everyone who watches TV.
She is taking over from Tess and Claudia Winkleman, who told us they were stepping down last October.
There are also whispers that Zoe Ball might be the one to join Emma to make the new duo. The producers obviously want someone the public already trusts to keep the show feeling familiar.
Now Tess decided to step in and share how she feels about it, and in a comment under a post about it, she said, “So thrilled for her.”
It’s great that there is no bad feeling between the old and new hosts. I feel that Tess’s blessing makes the whole change much easier for the audience to accept. As of right now, we still don’t know the second host, but they will likely be revealing them very soon.
