Love Island fans are convinced producers protected one couple during Movie Night, and after watching the episode, I can honestly see why people are saying that.
When I first saw the reactions, I thought fans might be reading too much into it. But the more I looked at what was actually shown, the more I understood why so many people were questioning the edit.
Producers only showed one clip of Ellie missing Finley while he was away, and it ended up bringing them even closer together.
What stood out to me was everything that wasn’t included. Finley’s time in Casa Amor was barely touched, despite him heavily flirting with Olivia and the two sharing a bed.
Olivia also asked to smooch him. Finley told her she could kiss him on the cheek, but she ended up smooching him on the lips instead. Yet none of that made it into Movie Night, and that’s exactly what viewers are questioning.
Finley got off lightly compared with some of the other islanders. I see that fans are even saying he and Ellie are getting the winners’ edit because the show seems determined to keep them looking like the strongest couple.
